Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I see you're not that thirsty." Gale turns back to One. "Yes, though water has it's moments. Thus why I have some."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena's interest is elsewhere, as she has located a rather large and heavy book that appears to have the hide of some sort of reptile as a cover.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Be careful with those books. They're not exactly available at Borders."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose, though burning with anger at the many insults thrown at her, keeps her mouth shut. Gale's terms were acceptable. Though she despised having to remain within the castle walls, she dared not defy him. She stands quietly in the library, waiting to be dismissed.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale notices Rose again and waves his hand. "You can leave. If I find anything out of place, I think you know what will happen."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One moves in towards Rose. "I'll show you where you are to sleep. Come with me."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale mumbles something in Latin and sips his wine. Despite Laena healing him, the Abbis was growing tired. He hadn't got much sleep this week.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose nods to Gale and follows One. Questions seeth in her mind, but she keeps a clamp on her tounge.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena sets the book down on the table, and opens it. A cobra shoots out of the book straight at Laena's face, but she catches it inches from her nose. Amusement crosses her face. "This would make a wonderful gift for Mother."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I told you to be careful. Not that you need to worry. You're immortal."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One goes outside and begins walking through the hallways, leading Rose. "You're room is somewhere downstairs. When you wake up in the morning, do not ask any of the three of us for something to eat. You are to make your way to the kitchen, which is located here." He points. "There is a bathroom in your room, along with a shower. So the only places you are allowed to enter are your room, the kitchen, and the library. The dining room is off limits to you. Unless, Gale permits it, but don't get your hopes up. Be careful while making your way around the castle, it's big and a lot of traps. If you make it to the kitchen from your room, then I might have second thoughts about you." He heads downstairs and enters a dark, cold room. The bed looks as though the ground would be softer. And the bathroom isn't too inviting. "Wow, like a regular dungeon, huh?" He laughs and makes his way back upstairs.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Whatever. I wasn't expecting a five star hotel complete with rose petals on the pillows. I spent a good three months in this castle as a prisoner, and I'm still alive. And I had free roam of the place." Her voice is dripping with venom.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
He turns back. "What did you say?" He flicks his fingers and the bathroom disappears. "Enjoy yourself." Heads back once again.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She curses him in her mind and sits on the bed. "This is your only chance, Rose. From this moment on, your going to have to watch what you say and what you do. Every little thing matters! It's going to be hell, but...I can do this. I will do this. And if I cannot, I will die. This is the one moment in my life that matters. This is the moment I live or die. And I will live.
...All my life, I've been told to fear Gale and never trust him. 'Rose, Gale is our enemy' and 'Rose, Gale will kill you.' And all my life, Rose has listened. Well...I am Gale's apperantice now. So...Rose is gone. I am Roselenna, Gale's Apperantice. (sp...)" She sighs and lays back, wondering when her training will begin. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale sees One enter and sips his drink. "Where'd you put the kid?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She smiles slightly at Gale, then hands him the book. "I imagine it would be worth its weight in gold, although at the same time I imagine that you have better judgement than to sell off any of these books.." She turns to the bookcase again.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I sold them to start a company a few years ago. The buyers mysteriously died and the books ended up back here." Gale smirks and takes another sip of wine.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She chortles. "It is you that is the mysterious one..." She reaches to pull out a book, and arches an eyebrow curiously as the book will not come out. She tugs on it slightly, and there is a loud click. The bookcase sways slightly, then the book falls out, its pages open. The entire bookcase shrivels and disappears inside the book, revealing a passageway where the case once stood.
Laena doesn't seem phased. "Abbis magic is an amazing thing.." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale doesn't look up, he seems to be reading something. "What did you say?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"It is nothing to be concerned with..." She disappears into the dark, cold tunnel.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One smiles. "The child has been taken care of. She's in one of your dungeons, Gale. I hope you don't mind. She was a bit disrespectful, but rest assured, by the end of the training, she'll know respect, not to mention fear." He laughs. "So what are you two up to?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I'm reading something and Laena is over-" Gale looks up, but doesn't see Laena. "Odd. She was there a minute ago."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One also becomes immersed in the books. "How long did it take you to reach this collection, Gale? I've read most of them, but others I never even heard about. And they all are tied in with the Abbis somehow."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
After walking for a few minutes, Laena comes to a door that appears to be covered with gold and jewel-encrusted. She opens the door with a slight bit of effort, and inside is an expansive room complete with its own kitchen, private shower, bed, and a vanity made entirely of gold and silver. She may be a Siren, but she is certain that there is no woman on earth, no matter what species, that would refuse to live in this room. That said, she turns and heads back to the library.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale looks around, somewhat curious as to where Laena went. "A couple of centuries. The one called the book of Cardodon Ryl. It's diffrent. It has languages we don't know.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Interesting. . . . I'm gonna have to pay more visits to this library." He takes the book Gale was showing him, and flips through it. "I'm almost sure I've seen this language before. Don't remember where or to whom it belongs to. . but it does seem a little familiar."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena returns silently, then picks up the book that the bookcase disappeared in. She carefully opens the book again, and the bookcase shoots out, expands, and sits in its original spot in front of the pathway.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I've counted Angelic, Demonic, Abbissian, Human, Elven. Not sure about the others." Gale looks around and sees the bookshelf and notices a handprint where dust should be. "...."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena calmly brushes the dust off her hands by clapping them together, then glances at Gale's perplexed expression. "Is something the matter..?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale raises an eyebrow. "Where did you go?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One begins looking through the shelves again. He finds an interesting book and pulls it out. "This one is from Asania, where did you get this? That city disappeared over ten thousand years ago."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You mean to say that you were not aware of the room hidden within these walls?" She gestures towards the bookcase.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Of course I'm aware of it, I made it. Why, I don't remember..." He turns to One. "It was in this library when I came."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She starts to laugh. "It is a beautiful room. It is as though.." She starts to walk towards him. "..you were expecting someone?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One takes no notice of Laena and Gale, as he begins reading the book. It is the interesting history of the Asanians. He was grateful enough to meet a guy who knew the language of this ancient race, so he had no trouble following the book.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"As I told you, I don't remember why I made the room and I don't have that many guests."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One closes the book loudly, interrupting the conversation. "If you'll excuse me, I must rest up. Gale, I hope you don't mind if I just make myself comfortable in any old room. Good night, Laena. Good night Gale." With that, One exits the room and leaves the two of them alone.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She makes a noise that sounds like a "tsk, tsk". "It appears that the room was created for a guest of the female persuasion.. Perhaps that would jog your memory...?" She sits down across from Gale, looking straight into his eyes.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale stares blankly for a moment before letting out a short laugh. "You think so? Now why would I make a room for a women?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One lays in his bed in a room he found. It's nice, but he is rolling around and not able to get to sleep. Finally, he gets up and walks out towards the library.
